DPC (Direct Primary Care) FAQS

Direct Primary Care is an innovative model of care, that bypasses insurance, cutting out the middleman, along with the paperwork, claims, and prior authorization requirements. This model of health care is rapidly growing and rekindles the provider-patient relationship as it used to be. Fewer patients, more time with you, quick appointments when needed, access to your provider via telehealth, text messages, email, or phone call. Cutting out all the middlemen and hassles that come with it increases the provider’s and the patient’s satisfaction, and significantly cuts costs.

You will experience shorter wait times, longer appointments, and easy access to your provider. No more in and out visits or waiting weeks or months for an appointment. Members have access to discounted labs, medications, and Imaging. These rates are typically 80-90% lower than Insurance cost.

The membership fee is a set recurring charge billed directly to patients to cover primary care services provided by the DPC provider under the terms of the practice membership contract.

DPC is not health insurance, and all patients are encouraged to have at least major medical insurance coverage. The ACA legislation does exempt patients from the underinsured/noninsured tax if you have major medical/catastrophic coverage and a provider on retainer, which is what you will get with Fusion Direct Medical and Wellness.

You can save money on your healthcare by getting insurance with low premiums and high deductibles. While getting discounted primary care services, labs, and diagnostics at Fusion Direct Medical and Wellness.

DPC participation is not permitted under Medicare A&B. DPC participation is however permitted under Medicare Advantage.

Yes, we currently accept Amerigroup, Cigna, United Health Care, Medicare, and Medicaid.

No. Federal law prohibits using HSA funds for Direct Primary Care, but new laws have been presented to make membership fees allowable for HSA expenses. Until the current law is changed, however, HSA funds cannot be used to pay Direct Primary Care fees.

We will gladly see you but please check our prices to see what benefits are available to our members that non-members do not receive.  We offer cash prices on primary care services and minor emergency surgical procedures (stitches, abscesses, or skin tag removal) to non-members.  These procedures are very expensive without insurance, traditionally. We also are happy to provide physicals, new employment physicals, and PPD placement at a very affordable rate.

Our office hours are Mon-Fri 9:00 am to 5:00 pm by appointment only.

We require appointments to keep wait times down and allow our patients adequate time for their visit.

Telehealth FAQS

Telehealth-sometimes referred to as telemedicine is the delivery of healthcare services via electronic technology such as video conferencing, internet apps, smartphone, and landline communication systems. Through telehealth a healthcare provider can assess and diagnose illnesses, manage chronic diseases, triage for injuries and mental health therapy. This is ideal for anyone who is in need of healthcare services and prefers to meet with a provider at their convenience anytime and anyplace.

The terms telemedicine and telehealth are often used as if they were the same thing, but technically telemedicine is a subset of telehealth. Telehealth also includes non-clinical uses of telecommunications technology such as self-monitoring, provider and patient education, and medical records management.

IV Hydration and Vitamin Therapy FAQs

Vitamin Therapy is a safe and effective method to replenish fluids and nutrients in the body! All our products are sourced from FDA approved medical suppliers and highly regulated pharmaceutical companies. Our formulas are also regulated by a medical provider (MD) and nurse practitioner (NP) to ensure proper dosing.

Most people can benefit from IV hydration. We do not treat minors under the age of 18, or anyone who is currently pregnant. Certain medical conditions such as heart, liver, or kidney problems can also disqualify you from receiving IV hydration. Patients undergoing chemotherapy are also not eligible to receive IV hydration unless authorized by your oncologist. Your medical history and vital signs will be reviewed prior to beginning treatment at RevitaLux to ensure you are a candidate for IV hydration therapy.

Our entire medical team is highly skilled in the art of IV insertion, however, access to an IV line is NEVER guaranteed. Per our policy, we will attempt a maximum of two sticks. If both times are unsuccessful, we can attempt a third time with permission from the client. If we cannot obtain IV access after 3 attempts, you will have the choice to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Some things that can help dilate the veins prior to your appointment will be drinking LOTS of water, taking a warm shower/bath, light cardio workout to increase blood flow, and wearing warm clothing.

Your visit starts off with a medical assessment and history obtained by the nurse practitioner. You will have your vital signs taken and medical history reviewed. We then determine if you are a candidate for IV therapy. If you are, an IV will be started and you can choose an infusion and add-ons from our menu. You will be in a private suite with access to the television and Alexa Echo for your choice of music. You will be sitting in a reclining massage chair and the lights will be dimmed for your comfort!

Most of our IV infusions last 30-60 minutes depending on your vein, IV catheter size, and your health history. The shots can be administered in minutes if you don’t have much time or just want a quicker boost!

The frequency of treatments will depend on your individual health. For preventative health and wellness, most clients begin with 1-2 infusions per month to help balance vitamin and hydration levels.

Most IM shots will require weekly sessions to maintain the results.

Due to the nature of this therapy, we do not accept insurance for IV hydration services. All services are cash pay and patients will be responsible for the cost of services.

There is a quick pinch during IV placement or shots. During IV placement, the needle is retracted, and a small, flexible plastic tube is inserted into the vein. No needles are left inside.

We can provide IV hydration services in the comfort of your home, office, hotel, or event! We offer concierge only for groups of 4 people or more. There is a $100 concierge and travel fee for us to be dispatched to your location. We can only travel up to a 15-mile radius from the office. Please contact us directly if you are interested in hiring the Fusion Direct Med team for your special event! (Wellness, fitness, parties, weddings, corporate, & more).

We do not offer refunds on services rendered or prescription ordered.
