Common symptoms of Allergies include:

Common symptoms of Acute Bronchitis include:

  • Persistent cough often lasting 1 to 3 weeks
  • Sore throat
  • Fatigue
  • Chest soreness
  • Mild headache
  • Mild body aches

Acute bronchitis is a common condition that often lasts 1 to 3 weeks. It usually goes away on its own and antibiotics are not generally used. We recommend rest, increased fluid intake, cough suppressant, and pain reliever if needed.

If symptoms persist beyond 3 weeks and/or you notice the following symptoms, please schedule an appointment.

  • Coughing up yellow or green mucus
  • Runny and stuffy nose
  • Chest congestion
  • Malaise
  • Fatigue
  • Chest soreness
  • Wheezing or whistling sound while breathing
  • Low grade fever

We do not treat high fever, chest pain, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. If you are experiencing these symptoms, seek emergency medical care immediately.

Common symptoms of Sinusitis include:

  • Nasal congestion
  • Runny nose
  • Facial pressure or tenderness
  • Postnasal drip
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Cough

Sinusitis can be acute or chronic. Acute sinusitis usually occurs with a cold or other respiratory infection and lasts less than 4 weeks. Chronic sinusitis lasts for more than 12 weeks and/or is a recurring condition.

Common symptoms of URI include:

  • Sore throat
  • Nasal congestion
  • Cough
  • Sputum production
  • Fever
  • Headache

Acute URI is usually caused by viruses and antibiotics are not generally used. If symptoms persist beyond 3 weeks and/or you notice the following symptoms, please schedule an appointment.

Symptoms usually occur 2 to 14 days after exposure to the virus. Symptoms can range from mild to severe. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Congestion
  • Runny nose
  • Sore throat
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • New Loss of taste or smell
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

Look for emergency warning signs for COVID-19. If you or someone you know is experiencing the following symptoms, seek emergency medical care immediately.

  • Trouble breathing
  • Persistent chest pain or pressure Congestion
  • New confusion
  • Inability to wake or stay awake
  • Pale, gray or blue-colored skin, lips, or nail beds, depending on skin tone

Common symptoms of Strep Throat include:

  • Throat pain that occurs suddenly
  • Swollen lymph nodes
  • Red/swollen tonsils
  • White patches in the throat

Strep Throat can cause flu-like symptoms, including fever, chills, nausea, and vomiting. However, if you’re experiencing swelling or redness or see white patches or dots in the back of your throat, it’s likely to be strep.

Common symptoms of Pink Eye include:

  • Redness
  • Itching
  • Tearing
  • Crusting
  • Purulent discharge from one or both eyes

Conjunctivitis is an inflammation of the conjunctiva. It is highly contagious and common amongst children who attend school or daycare. It can be caused by allergies, bacteria or viruses. Viral and allergic conjunctivitis presents with a watery or scant amount of mucus. Bacterial conjunctivitis typically has a thick discharge that continues throughout the day.

Common symptoms of Stye include:

  • Painful lump on the eyelid
  • Eyelid pain and swelling
  • Crust formation around the eyelid

Common symptoms of Cold Sores include:

  • Painful sores or blisters on the lips, mouth, gum, and other parts of the mouth
  • Symptoms usually occur 2 to 12 days after exposure.

 

HSV-I is transmitted when you come in contact with the virus via kissing, sharing utensils, or oral sexual intercourse.

Common symptoms of HSV-2 include:

  • Painful sores or blisters on the genital area
  • Symptoms usually occur 2 to 12 days after exposure
  • Abnormal vaginal discharge
  • Fever
  • Muscle aches
  • Headaches
  • Painful urination

HSV-2 is transmitted when you come in contact with the virus via kissing, oral and sexual intercourse.

PEP is a prophylactic medication taken after possible exposure to HIV to prevent HIV infection. PEP should only be used in emergency situations and must be started right with 72 hours after a recent exposure to HIV.

Who can benefit from PEP?

  • If you had unprotected intercourse with an HIV partner or partner with unknown HIV status.
  • Shared needles or had a needle-stick injury
  • Been sexually assaulted
  • Had HIV exposure within 3 days (72 hours)

PrEP is the daily prophylactic medication prescribed to HIV negative people who are at risk of getting HIV. When taken as prescribed, PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by about 99% when taken daily and at least 74% amongst people who inject drugs. PrEP is much less effective when it is not taken as prescribed.

PrEP reaches maximum protection from HIV for receptive anal sex (bottoming) at about 7 days of daily use.

For receptive vaginal sex and injection drug use, PrEP reaches maximus protection at about 21 days of daily use.

No data is available for insertive anal sex (topping) or insertive vaginal sex.

  • Swelling
  • Tenderness
  • Ear drainage

Nausea is the sensation of wanting to vomit while vomiting refers to the forceful oral expulsion of gastric contents.

Common causes include:

  • Food poisoning
  • Viral infections
  • Medications
  • Pregnancy
  • Chronic diseases such as diabetes and GERD

Warning: Please seek emergency care if you are experiencing intractable vomiting with diarrhea, chest pain and fever.

Common symptoms of UTI include:

  • Burning during urination
  • Frequent urination
  • Sense of Urgency

  • Stomach or Lower back pain
  • Cloudy, dark, bloody, or foul-smelling urine
